About Rowan Hinder

Regardless of Rowan’s experience and culinary expertise, what most clients say they enjoy the most is his eye for detail.

Born and bred in the Cotswolds countryside, he started working in local kitchens around his school studies, knowing that kitchens were where he belonged. He then furthered his training and career under the renowned Head Chef Steve Groves at the highly regarded Roux at Parliament Square in London’s Westminster. Here he learnt the concrete foundations that make up all great food, and cooked seasonal menus that had guests returning regularly.

Once this foundation was built, Rowan upped roots and moved to the rural vineyards of Burgundy, France for 2 years of fast paced classic cuisine at the highly acclaimed Chateau de Varennes. Working with respected Bristol chef Nathan Muir, together they catered for high profile, international clientele every day. With full board groups as small as 5 or as large as 250, Rowan was on hand to help create bespoke menus and dining experiences to suit every occasion.

Now back home in the Cotswolds, Rowan works tirelessly for his private dining clients. He creates dining experiences that are not just testament to his culinary education but also to humble family traditions of enjoying good food together. He believes that finding the right balance between refined dining and the joy of sitting around the table as a family is what creates such memorable dining experiences.
